Water Rat ("RATTY") is a quirky little Houseboat for one person (two at a pinch but would NOT be suitable for long term). She is just 16ft long and has everything you need for living a lovely life afloat. Residential Marina Mooring available on River Taymar with beautiful views!
Ideal for a Writer, Artist, Graphic Designer, Seamstress, Software Designer, Bird Watching, University Student or just a nice cheap, quiet way of living!
Sleeping, Cooking, Washing (Hot & Cold running water), Washing-up, TV, Hi-Fi. AC Hookup for Fridge, Kettle and Toaster and Microwave Oven! Also has a single-burner gas ring for using a small frying pan or wok which are also provided!
Two Large 12V Batteries installed for all the Lighting, TV and Hi-Fi. Batteries are charged by two 100 Watt Solar Panels and a "Rutland" Wind-charger. There is also a "State-of-the-Art" backup AC Charger/Conditioner installed.
Two Fire Extinguishers.
Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector/Alarm.
Hanging Locker (Wardrobe) and a second closet, currently being fitted-out as a Larder.
The 22" LED LCD TV has a built-in DVD and operates from the 12VDC supply but could equally be used from the AC 220 volt connection. Over 60 Freeview channels are receivable from this location!
Water Rat has a nice Dickinson Newport Wall-Mounted Solid-Fuel Heater which burns Lump-wood Charcoal . . . Very cheap to run, no smoke once fully alight and very little ash!
She has nine double-glazed windows, each fitted with a thermal roller blind!
The interior is nicely colour co-ordinated. Carpeted floor.
On the rear deck is a ladder leading to a huge Top-Box for additional storage.

She is on a lovely Pontoon Marina Mooring with beautiful views across the River Taymar. The Marina has Showers, Toilets and Washing Machines/Dryer. This is a very friendly location and has CCTV Security. Full postal and parcel services are available if you take over the mooring.
There is parking for Boat Owners and adequate parking for visitors to the site or Marina Cafe.
Mooring charges are £100 per month plus £25 PM extra for residential! Or if hauled out for the winter, Yard storage is £80 PM + £25 residential (you pay one or the other NOT both. If yo don't live on the boat, you don't pay residential). You can stay on the water or on land permanently if you wish, or stay in the yard for winter as I do!
You can just move in and enjoy life on the water.
Built here at the Marina and just launched a few months ago (July this year). Many items only just fitted in the past few weeks!
Alternatively could be transported to your own location, on suitable Car Transporter Trailer or Flat Bed Lorry (Ideal would be vehicle with built-in Hiab Crane). Boat max weight fully loaded; 1.5 Tons (1,500kgs) (Cranes and Travelift available here on site).
